How it works
The courses belong to the hotels. We stay at the right hotel.
Every resort here includes its own courses and charges you for everyone else's. Stay in the wrong one and you play the same two layouts six times.
Paradis Beachcomber's golf package gives unlimited play on two courses — Paradis and Mont Choisy — and as a guest there you also get resident rates at six further partner courses. Nine rounds, six courses, no green fee at list price. That is not a negotiation, it is the contract.

The departure dates are chosen against the hotel's and the courses' seasonal calendar — which is why the October departure falls at the end of September and the April departure runs into May.
The price includes a flight from Copenhagen. Of the 89 900 kr, 12 900 kr is the return flight and 77 000 kr is the trip itself — hotel, rounds, transfers, excursions and host. Travelling from Stockholm, Gothenburg, Oslo, Helsinki or Germany, we quote the flight separately; book your own and you pay only the trip’s share. Meridian Fairways ApS is registering its travel business with Rejsegarantifonden in Denmark. Booking opens when the registration is complete. The guarantee is lodged in the country where the organiser is established and is recognised across the EEA under the Package Travel Directive (EU) 2015/2302 — Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish travellers carry the same protection as Danish ones.

The host
We are on the island. Not on a switchboard.
Our host lives on Mauritius for the whole season. Someone who books your tee times, drives you to the course, knows which course is playable in the rain, which beach is best in November and where to eat.
You should not have to plan your own holiday while you are on it. That is the difference between travelling to an island and knowing it.
The season
Five months without golf.
Sweden closes in November. Four hundred and fifty courses, half a million players, and five months when nothing is open. The answer has always been a week somewhere warm.
Our trip is fourteen days. Long enough for nine rounds on six courses without the week becoming a coach tour, long enough that whoever is not playing gets a holiday too, and long enough that the flight stops being the expensive part of the sum.
Why Mauritius
Ten championship courses. A two-hour drive end to end.
The greens are quick year-round, the fairways play firm, and the lagoon is in sight from almost every hole. This is golf of a quality worth travelling far for — and here everything sits within an hour or so of everything else.
From Europe you travel via Dubai, with one change and a couple of hours of time difference — no jet lag to speak of, and you are there the day after you leave.
The courses were laid out by some of the great names in golf: Ernie Els built Anahita between mountain and lagoon, Bernhard Langer put a course on an island of its own that you reach by boat with your clubs in the bow, and Peter Matkovich designed four of the six we play — one around a nineteenth-century château, another out of the dunes as the Indian Ocean's first true links. Mauritius sits in the south-western Indian Ocean and has a tropical climate with warm temperatures year-round. December–April is warmest and most humid, with short but heavy showers rather than sustained rain — golf continues between them. Mauritius is about 65 kilometres from north to south. No course lies more than a good hour from another, which is the whole reason a trip here can hold nine rounds without feeling like a coach tour. Excursions
Thirteen ways to fill a day without golf.
Catamaran and dolphins, diving and snorkelling on the reef, walking in Black River Gorges or up Le Morne, Chamarel, Port Louis and the sugar museum. Three of them are included in the price, and you choose which three when the trip is planned.
For golf clubs
Does the club travel together?
Many clubs have a travel committee that arranges one trip together each year. We build departures for whole groups: sixteen places, one club, one programme — with a tournament, a prize-giving and one of us there throughout.
We are glad to come to the clubhouse and present the trip. Forty minutes, one evening in October or November, for the seniors’ committee, the ladies’ committee or whoever usually arranges the travel.
